Client | Growing family with lots of kids including one on the way during construction.
Design Challenge | To design a comfortable living space for toddlers that would transition with them into their teens.
With the architect’s first set of plans in hand, I could see the home’s footprint and the designated children’s living area would provide ample space. Getting involved early in the process, I was able to recommend a redesign of the space to create more bedrooms for the children as well as separate bathrooms for the girls and boys to be able to have their own areas. The framework of the living space would need to stand the test of both time and trend changes. Bedspreads and colors can easily be swapped out as tastes change and children grow from toddlers to teens.
